Lauren and John are self-proclaimed “not wedding people,” so their wedding day was all about having a good time with the people who matter most to them rather than focusing on the traditional wedding stuff. In true San Francisco fashion, their engagement session at Sutro Baths and Land’s End was a fall foggy spring day, but we got lucky enough to see the Golden Gate Bridge peep out for just a moment.

With even more luck, their September wedding day at the stunning Cavallo Point Lodge was a beautiful, sunny day. They started the day getting ready at the Lodge with their bridal parties, and met up for their intimate tea ceremony with just their immediate families and closest friends. They changed into their wedding attire and met up again for a first look before saying “I do.” I got to witness such a special ceremony, with a perfect view of the golden gate bridge. The day carried on just as they envisioned; genuine, laidback, and just an overall fun time.

The day ended with bowling in the venue’s vintage single land bowling alley, which has to be one of the coolest after-parties I’ve gotten to photograph. From documenting their engagement session to their wedding day on digital and film, this was truly a San Franciscan love story for the books.
